Default pure bluff 5/10

we're deep

very good lag opens for 40 in lp, other very good solid player calls on button

J55r (120)

i check, lag bets 80, tightie calls, I make it 300.

looks good to me, unless tighty knows you like this move and is capable of cold calling with a monster

When I am the pre-flop raiser and I make a continuation bet on a board with

(a) no big cards and
(b) a pair of small cards,

and I get raised or check-raised on the flop, I get very suspicious of that raise.

This is exactly why you need to use this move when you do flop big as well. I love reraising or checkraising a pf raiser on 55j board when I have 65 - they always think you're full of [censored]. So, in your hand, I would only do this if they know you will sometimes play a flopped monster this way.

so you're willing to call this raise and 500 on the turn?

you must play in a much thougher game than me.

i like it a lot.

risking 300 to win 280. this play is going to work out more than half the time for me to make it profitable.

perfect board and relative positions to squeeze them both out.

but if called, by either spot, im giving up on the hand.

the only thing that sucks here is that: you are deep, both players are very good, and both have position on you.

this increases the chances that one of them will either pick up on the move and get to showdown, or even that they will put you on a bluff, call with nothing, only to re-bluff you on the turn or river.

all that said, i still think you are taking it down over half the time on the flop.
