Default Raising the bar......moving on to higher limits

I am a frequent PP player who has had I would say pretty good success playing 25$NLH 50$NLH and the 5 and 10$SNG's. I feel that my playing capability should be higher than the limits that I currently play at. I rarely have a losing session unless its by an astronomical beat. I started with a 100$ bank roll and have turned it into $800 in a matter of 3 weeks.On average, I win about 50$ an hour.(I have been playing in ternet poker for many years but recently I feel I have pieced together my game and PP is the easiest site by far) My question is when is the appropriate time to escalate my playing level? At what bankroll would you say is the appropriate moving level?

$800 is enough to buy in short at a $5/10 nl game. I would start there.

Try the small stakes NL forum, it is just above the add on the left hand side.

I think the answer they will give you is to stay at $50NL. Some will even suggest $25NL (which would be my advice). This is provided that you do not want to have to deposit more of your own money.

I can't watch this happen to a sincere human. In this forum, we talk about limit small stakes games. The general rule here is that you have 300 to 400 times the size of the big bet. I'm not sure how this changes at NL, but I think you would want more for that.

For No Limit, I think it's usually 10-20 buy ins. I've also heard 1500x the big blind, which is about the same thing.

However, even though the OP has enough bankroll for the $50 NL, I'd caution that anything can happen in 3 weeks, and you *will* start to have more losing sessions. I'd stick with the $25 NL and your SNGs, and post some hands in the appropriate forum to try to gauge if you're playing decently.

Good results != good play

Take note HardCory. Your start sounds a lot like mine, and then I got a reality check and went bust.

I usually feel that way too when I go on a nice run for a few weeks.
