Stud8: More idiocy on 3rd

10/20 on Pary. I bring it in with Ac 2s 3s. Two fours and two spades are dead. Folded to an ace, who completes, a six raises, folded to me, I fold.

I'm a total noob at stud/8 but I can't find a fold here. I wait see forth or fifth before I can give it up.

Your fold is fine. This is a small ante game. You are in a marginal spot at best, and your hand is pretty dead already, likely more so with the probable cards in those other two hands. Let yourself get knocked out here.

However, if the ante was bigger and the ace was in a late position I think reraising is better than calling. Specificially, if it was the 30-60 on stars.

Be careful drawing conclusions from these, because you would fold if your board is A23KJ on 5th but these don't account for that. Also the times that the pot is raised on 4th to knock out the guy that caught bad.

I think the range of hands here is quite a bit large for the villains in this one. Those are your absolute worst situations, but the point is still valid. Fold has got to be right if your opponents are playing any sort of decent hands.
