Anyone Here gone to Vegas Courtesy of True Poker?
Havn't played True in a long time and just noticed that for 50,000 raked hands you can get a trip to Vegas. Interesting challenge!
Anyone done this...anyting I should know about this promotion that would influence my decion to try or not try this. All feedback about this appreciated! |

Re: Anyone Here gone to Vegas Courtesy of True Poker?
Several players played 120,000 hands to get buyin and trip to WSOP. O'Doyle Rules is the only name I know for certain got the oppurtunity, but other players, whose names I do not know, did the same thing.

Re: Anyone Here gone to Vegas Courtesy of True Poker?
Hi ewile,
What I did was a special promo. (120k hands in less than 8 weeks for a WSOP entry and paid trip to Vegas.) This was something I negotiated directly with TruePoker for. I think what you are referring to is the 50,000 in True Points (raked hands basically) that will earn you a 2 or 3 day trip to Vegas. I already earned a free cruise (60,000 points) as a result of the special promo for the WSOP seat. And BTW, TruePoker treated me well while I was in Vegas for the WSOP. |

Yes was a cool quest...we all had fun following it and trying to steal your blinds haha. TP was a cool site to offer you the deal.

I was thinking of starting to play there to get this trip as well. Was wondering if I got 100k points if they would let me stay for twice as long (I would want to stay longer than 2 nights probably). Will have to ask them if I ever get to that point.

Re: Anyone Here gone to Vegas Courtesy of True Poker?
I certainly did follow the O'Doyle quest with great interest.
This idea is percolating in my head now. I'm in no rush at all. I've got two very little kids (3 & 1) so I don't have the green light to go anywhere so soon. However, I have made it known that I WILL be going to Vegas to celebrate my 40th birthday in January, 2007! So perhaps I could do this as a Vegas 40th birthday quest, putting in hands every week to get there. Like another poster inthe thread, I'm pretty sure that I'll want to stay longer than 2 nights...but those details can be worked out. It's a consideration. |

How many tables can you play there at a time?

120k hands in less than 8 weeks [/ QUOTE ] Holy hell, I didn't know it was that bad. The other day when on tilt I kept grinding it out on 4 tables on Empire hoping to win my money back. It took me like 3 1/2 hours to put in 785 hands. Of course these were full tables but still... you put in some serious hours each day. |
