Default River raise?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

MP1 doesn't really understand starting hand values pre-flop, raises wrong type of hands in wrong types of situations, etc. A little on the aggressive side, but likes to showdown. No real read on UTG except for loose passive party donk.

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

If he's passive then I don't think raising the river is a good play. He hasnt slowed down to your aggresion so he probably has a very strong hand. Against a more aggressive player I like that raise.

How strong a hand? Set of jacks or queens doesn't line up with PF action. The two shouldn't have helped him on the turn.

Obviously if the board hadn't come running 2's there would be no question at all about it, except maybe if I should fold or not.

And MP1 padding the pot is another factor, because I'm 100% both of us have him beat (especially after results) but him being him does increase my immediate odds to a raise to 2-1, but if UTG 3bets again he'll probably drop.
