Default Kidney stones

I have one. I discovered this last night after experiencing the most excruciating pain I have ever felt, followed by pissing blood. I decided this was a bad thing and went to the hospital. After a CT scan it was confirmed that I did have a kidney stone and it was approximately 5mm in size, which means it probably wont pass on its own. I have to see the urologist on Monday where they will tell my how they plan on helping it along. In the meantime, I have motrin and vicodin in case the pain flares up again. Please hope that none of you ever experience this. More to follow, hopefully with pics of the rock hiding in my kidney.

Drink a lot of water. Always. Keep everything flowing. I have been warned by my father and a couple of other people that getting kidney stones is about as little fun as can be had this side of childbirth...every time I get a twinge I am terrified.

Good luck VR.

Funny thing is, I usually do a quick search before starting a new topic but I thought I was safe here. Shouldve known there is no such thing as a new topic in OOT. Anyhow, thanks for all the well wishes, not feeling any pain at the moment but Im sure its just a matter of time before it starts again. As for the semen question, well, lets just say I dont consider the 1 oz of semen answer unreasonable at all.

Drinking beer has been associated with a lowered risk of kidney stones.

I thought caffeine and stress were on that list as well.

Uroligist told me to drink water with either lemon or lime in it. If I keep getting them meds here i come. Biggest stone so far was 9x5mm I have 5 right now 3 on the right 2 on the left.

If they do a cystocopy(sp) Good luck the sten they put in hurt worse than the ston.

I called the doctor after a week and the Nurse asked me If I had a string hanging out of the end of my penis like a tampoon. I said NO. She said usually all I would have to do is come to the office and they would just pull it out or, I could go under generl and they would pull it out.

I said the [censored] u are doing this to me while I am awake.
