Hit the wheel, scared of flush
I really wish I could come up with witty subject lines...it will be something to work on.
I know some of my posts are pretty lame but I have been questioning my aggression lately. Read on villian is unknown. Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks. Flop: (3 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets, Hero calls, UTG raises, SB folds, Hero calls. Turn: (4 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero raises, UTG 3-bets, Hero ... What's my gameplan. Should I cap this or back off and call down? Comments on all streets appriciated. P.S how terrible is the flop call... |

Re: Hit the wheel, scared of flush
I would raise the flop. You have a gutshot, backdoor nut flush draw, and an ace. By raising the flop, you clean up ace outs and play for a free card. Your play so far has resembled a flush draw which was made on the turn. In spite of this UTG still 3-bets. I call down vs an unknown and pray for an overplayed J.
