Re: Casino Windsor...
Yes big raises for 10 bucks are called by 4 to the flop and big all ins are called by top pair way too much. You can easily drag down 100 plus pots, I have never seen that at 1/2......

Re: Casino Windsor...
yup I played NL 100Max (1/2). Was down $100 first at 3/6 before moving to NL. I was cold carded to death at limit and then won my hundred back plus another $200. The standard raise pf was to $12 total with 1/2 blinds . 2 trips to Casinos. Profit of $400 although it was slow and frustrating at times. The drunk people are free entertainment too. Whats up with everyone thinking theyre at the Final Table of the WSOP. One guy had a unlit cigarette in his mouth and 2 people would stare at you forever regardless if they were in the hand or what. It started to creep me out. Anyway Casinos rape everyone with rake and it seems real hard to beat it.

Re: Casino Windsor...
The NL games can be good. The low limit I only tried for an hour while waiting for a spot and it was among the worst playing ever witnessed in a B+M. It's a good thing if you get cards. If you're a bad drunk, it will be fun. I would equate the experience to KENO.
The NL games that I played were all very good. The previous post about the WPT wannabe's is true. A couple of them may make you laugh out loud, so don't be surprised when a guy dressing himself like Chris Ferguson stares you down on a $15 raise. The Top dofus had sunglasses and he kept having to push them up on his head to see the cards. After his third or fourth rebuy he took them off. The time charge has to stay monstrously huge so they can afford the new addition they are now building. Hopefully, it will include a new cardroom so that you wont feel like you're atending someone's wedding reception when you go to play a little poker. |

Re: Casino Windsor...
NL 200 Max was the highest NL I saw. I heard on Sat Nights they have a 500 NL game but the guy at my table said it its absolutly horrible. He meant horrible as in extrememly tight. But this was just hear say so take it with a grain of salt.

Re: Casino Windsor...
a few questions about the Limit games there, does the 10/20 always run, and how many tables? Also, are there any higher Limit HE games running ever, like 15/30, 20/40, etc? And are there any PLO tables?

Re: Casino Windsor...
I went for only my second time to CW on the 28th. I stayed for 26 hours and was pretty tired.
You may have seen me there (Young kid -- Drunkn Monkey t-shirt). I was pretty shocked that they didn't really have many tables going. There was always a 1/2 NL game going, the 2/5 NL went up for about an HOUR :|, as three fishies busted out and killed all the action. At about 11 at night, the 5/10 NL opened up, but I observed the players and it didn't look like a good game at all. That game also ended quickly. I tried to get a 10/20 limit game going to no avail, and was very shocked they couldn't even get a 5/10 limit game going. The 1/2 NL game was really good. Calling stations galore. It really made calling raises with 34suited +EV. I ended the trip up with three barneys and four blacks, so I'd call it a success. I'd really enjoy more limits and tables going though. Dealers were really nice too and would rabbit hunt for us at appropriate times. |
