Legal Question
Let's say you are 19 years old and make 30,000 on a poker site such as UB, Party, ect.
What if, three years later, when you were 22, they find you were under 21 when you made that 30,000. Do they have the right to deny the 30,000? Let's say you cashed out when you were 19, do they have the right to take legal action against you even after three years? Another question that's more off topic: can you admit to something such as playing poker underaged, or drinking underaged after you are 21 and not face potential charges? Can you admit to it before you are 21 or could you face procecution. I apologize for my ignorance. Thanks |

Re: Legal Question
1) Any poker site can take any amount of the money you have deposited at their site for any reason whatsoever and there is basically nothing you can do about it.
2) It's more likely that an airplane is going to crash into your house tonight than you will be prosecuted for underage gambling online. |

Re: Legal Question
How come all your sites are about legality or changing account because you put in incorrect info. Play on the abundance of sites that allw 18+ and wait for the others till when you turn 21, jeez.

Re: Legal Question
A Vegas casino can refuse to pay you if you are underage. (In fact, they may have a legal duty to refuse payment ... I don't know).
I. Nelson Rose handled a case once where a teenager hit a million+ jackpot on a slot. He got his dad to pretend he hit it, but the casino knew the kid was playing. Anyhow, the casino refused to pay. |

[ QUOTE ]
Let's say you cashed out when you were 19, do they have the right to take legal action against you even after three years? [/ QUOTE ] No U.S. court is going to enforce UB's gambling contract. Besides, the bad publicity alone would be mind-boggling. I cannot imagine that UB would sue to get their money back. If you get the $30K away from them they can't get it back unless you give it to them. |
