I feel that if I do this everytime, people can profitably call me with any piece of me on flop and play scarecard against me with ease. but if I was to continue, I'd feel screwed drawing to 2 outs and not know how I'd have to pay to play the guessing game. |

Re: weak tight or standard?
You need to bet the turn, if he raises then you can decide what to do. By checking it is too easy for a thinking player to bet this at you. It is very possible for him to call you with A8 bet I think you cant play the turn that weak. 2/3 bet would work, i think! If you continue I think you check raise the turn.

Re: weak tight or standard?
I think when you check it Villain bets here at least 1/3 of the time and only has the 8 a fraction of that. Once you call though Villain probably won't fire on the river unless he has it but would call if you lead out with a PP or if he picks up a pair in the river. You can fold to a raise. However, if you see an ace on the river you will have a tough decision.

Re: weak tight or standard?
I wouldve raised a bit more preflop, but either way, that 8 doesnt bother me.
Its not like the flop was Q high and the turn was another Q. Are you really afraid he has an 8 in a raised pot? I think that check/fold was very weak tight. |

Re: weak tight or standard?
you are folding the best hand too often.....given the way you played it you could have missed overs, and villain is taking away the pot with anything....bet 2/3 pot on turn and fold to a raise. if he calls make a river blocking bet, fold to a raise....he likely wont be raising with anything you beat, and you you gain value the times you are ahead, which should be frequent.

Re: weak tight or standard?
A river bet which you fold when he raises over you when you have what is a good hand but on a board where there are much strong hands (i.e. an overpair when the top board card pairs, TPTK on 3 to a flush board)

Re: weak tight or standard?
I'd think it a lot more likely that he has a pocket pair rather than a 8.
