Default metal in the face

it has become increasingly more popular for (mostly) young people to adorn their faces with pieces of metal, be it in the nose, eyebrow, cheek, lip, whatever. being old (34) and of moderate intelligence, i simply don't get it. i pierced my ear when i was 16, and my dad didn't get it (do what you want, but i have no idea why you would want more holes in your head than you already have). what are your thoughts on this phenomenon?

infintiely more so. a baseball hat can be easily removed, and typically does not leave a scar when done so. also, there are occasions when baseball hats are practical. the same cannot be said for a fishhook through the lower lip. but i am old and out of touch, so what do i know?

I can't vote in your poll because it really depends on the piercing, both what and where. I mean, the tiny little jewel thing in the nose is no big deal, but big ol' cow rings or spikes sticking out or whatever just looks retarded. OTOH, if you get the tiny little jewel thing, I have to wonder why because most are so small that it takes you a while to figure out it's a piercing and not a mole or a zit.

Eyebrow rings generally just look stupid, and I couldn't bring myself to kiss a chick with any lip piercings.

Same, but that goes for chicks as well. I'm feeling the same way about tattoo's as well these days.

Looks like I'm old now.

Get off my lawn!
