I'm folding this preflop, even with position. The fact that you hit as safe a flop as you can ask for and are scared to bet is a good reason not to call off 1/9 your stack with the hand to begin with.

I'm the third big stack at the table, and see a fairly weak raise from a big stack. I'm getting over 4 to 1 on the call, in position, I think it's safe to play this for set value.

I didn't say I was scared to bet, I'm just asking what people's flop move is.

Oh yeah I didnt mention, it's the bubble and so people are likely to play tight, so preflop I'm thinking I might even get to check the flop if it totally misses me and/or a bluff bet might take it down.

learn to read.

edit: slight miscalculation up top, more like 3.7:1 on my call. BUT I had good reason to believe one of the blinds would call, particularly the SB who had been in a lot of pots trying (with limited success) to throw his stack around.

Implied odds on the set. I think he needs to be more decisive given your stack relative to the starting pot. Otherwise, it makes sense.

You wont flop a set that often, and the important thing is that your bleeding off 10-15% of your chips in a multiway pot with most likley just a pair of 7's. I think this is an example where your just creating more problems then you need to. Unless you have a strong read on the player for a "Weaking raise" instead of "AA/KK near min-raise" then Im tossing it in. Anyways, on the flop, Im leading 2500, and not sure what I do if get re-raised all-in.

Given that you're posting this, Im sure you came out firing, and were trapped by 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
