Default When to rebuy/ad-on

Hi,

I am going to play a live-tourney in 1,5 hour.

50$, with 1 rebuy (when under 5000 chips) or 1 ad-on after one hour (regardless of stack-size)

Expect about 150 players, stack: 5000 chips.

There is a screen where you can see average stack.

Does anyone have pointers to

1: When to make ad-on (after an hour) in relation to average stack ?

2: If going broke/low when to make rebuy in relation to average stack (# of players) ?

If i'm reading right you can either have one or the other. That does make for a tighter game. Take the add on regardless of your chip stack. The tournaments are designed for you to add on to get more chips in play. You can double up early, not play a hand the entire hour, everyone else rebuys and suddenly your the short stack.

But just pay attention to stacks. If ur tight on money or whatever. If even with an addon your still average with the rest of the field. Then don't. If you feel you'll benefit from an add on. Then add on.

It's a different concept then unlimited rebuys. Where you WILL rebuy regardless....lol.
