i don't really know why i played this hand this way. it was early so i had no reads but i figured he would bet the flop and i could check-raise. do i want to be doing this sort of thing or is betting out a better plan?

i did the same thing again on the turn. because he didn't bet the flop i figured maybe he was slow playing a monster but at the same time still figured i had the best hand and at least could have an out to a diamond flush if he had a big pair.

because of his passiveness i figured to have the best hand on the river and bet out a little.

this is the type of hand i need to improve my play with. i figure there's probably a fairly simple, standard way to play this type of hand but sometimes i feel like getting tricky or doing something different.

what is the standard course of action for this type of hand?
