Vancouver Cardrooms

Does anybody know anything about cardrooms in Vancouver, BC? Also, what's the legal age to gamble in Canada? And finally, does anyone have any experience with Royal Caribbean cruises going from Alaska to Vancouver? Is there cards on board?

Legal age for anything in canada is 19 as far as I know. I have played at one room in canad but I dont remember the name (river rock maybe) it was a very soft game with a decent staff. My biggest complaint about this room was that the dealer at my table was allowing some of the asian players to talk in some language other than english.

The River Rock and the Edgewater are the best rooms. River Rock is better, but you'll probably be downtown if you're on a cruise so the Edgewater will be much more convenient.

I think 18 is legal age (maybe 19). River rock has 25 tables and is the biggest room in Canada(spreads from 1-2 up to 40-80). Holiday Inn on Broadway has 5 tables all 10-20 and 20-40 limit. Edgewater has nothing but 4-8 and about 5 tables.

River Rock rocks....it a ways from downtown but worth it, the Holliday Inn only has a few tables and doesn't spread much of a variety, each time I have been there (during the week mind you) they've only had two tables going. Great screens at River Rock show you the games and the wait lists and there's a pager system.

There are legal cardrooms in Canada in; Nova Scotia, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC. Quebec has Casinos but they are government run and they are too stupid to spread any poker games.

Are these denominations in Canadian or US? Converting isn't that much of an issue if necessary, though, is my understanding.
