Default SB A9os How bad did I play this?

Prima 3/6 6 handed

Villain is 48/15/1 over about 100 hands
Villain was a calling station and pretty straightforward ABC player.

(As a side note, I had notes on this guy but I don't know how to retrieve them (or if you even can) from PT after I'm done with the session. Is there a way to do this?)

Hero in SB w A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

3 fold, button calls, hero raises, BB folds, button calls

Flop (5 SB)
J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero bets, button calls

Turn (3.5 BB)

K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero bets, villain raises, hero folds

This looks just so bad to me. My AF is way too high because of stuff like this. Was this even worth a bet on the flop, let alone the river? God, I just hate it when I play this way (which seems to be a lot). Maybe I need to go back to Lee Jones.

I complete PF - don't raise a (slightly) weak ace OOP just to drive out BB. I understand that villain is unlikely to have an ace given the 15PFR but why did they not openraise on the button?

After a PF raise, i think your line is probably the way you have to play it. But i avoid that malarkey by completing PF and probably check-folding the flop. Is that weak? That's Pete at the moment.

Why use Lee Jones? SSHE, Inside the Poker Mind, middle limit holdem poker are all more useful for 3/6SH aren't they?

I think completing is bad.
I would raise this everytime.

We don't want BB in the hand if we can help it, why not isolate an open limper on the button, he can't be very good to do that.

I like the PF raise. After all, raising AT here is ridiculously standard, right? Can't be that much different in overall EV.

I'm sort of confused about the advice on the turn. We bet crappy cards that don't seem to help precisely because they don't help, and we bet scary cards because they're scary? When the hell don't we bet?

true, either good or tricky, and doesn't look like the latter given the reads. Ignore me, i'm running bad on the forums tonight. Unlike last week.

I was actually being sarcastic about going back to Lee Jones. Sorry.

this hand is standard

not raising pf is a big leak. you have the best hand a chance to take the initiative and a chance to get some dead money in the pot

betting the turn is good. he could be peeling the flop with a lot of gutshots that have to fold now, he might decide to fold a crappy pair and he might decide to fold a-high. you dont get raised much by this guy and you have outs when you're called
