Brantford charity casino (canadian players)
I plan on going there on the 25th and maybe pulling a 24 hour session, want to play 20/40 but would play 30/60 if they have it. Never been there before.
Questions 1) How is the action on weekdays, specifically monday and tuesday? 2) Is it open 24/7 3) How long is the wait? will there be a wait if I get at 10ish. Can I call ahead? 4) How many tables are for 20/40? how many for limits above 20/40? thanks for all your help guys. |

Re: Brantford charity casino (canadian players)
1) action is always good. i've never seen a bad table at brantford. 2) yes, it's open 24/7 3) wait isn't usually too bad on weekdays. maybe about an hour on average, but you can usually get a 10/20 game pretty quickly to play while you wait. 4) 2-3 tables of 20-40. none above 20-40. |

4) 2-3 tables of 20-40. none above 20-40. [/ QUOTE ] I believe they run a 30/60 every once in a while, I've seen it once. And they apparently run a 50/100 once a month or so. I was talking to the a dealer and a floor person and they said it used to be once a week but they think they "busted some people". The floor person also told me they will be introducing morning tournies soon and they're trying to get NL games but there's a lot of red tape since it's a charity casino and the maximum bet is supposed to be $100. |

High stakes games like 50/100 run dry quick you need bad donaters with deep pockets, guys don't last at those stakes beyond a few months, they make great GA pledges though......

Re: Brantford charity casino (canadian players)
So hopefully I'll be living in one of London or Kingston next year.
Is there any serious preference for which one has better 'closeby' poker rooms? I play mostly 3/6 HE (stabbing at 5/10) and 4/8 half HE half Omamha-Hi |

Re: Brantford charity casino (canadian players)
There are no "close" poker rooms near Kingston. That said, there is no comparison between London & Kingston for a choice of where to live... Kingston wins by a landslide!!!

Kingston wins by a landslide [/ QUOTE ] Is it the view of the federal prison? You cannot be saying that Queens University girls are up the scale from Western's. That would mean you have never been to London. They are both good cities, but I have to give London the nod. Close to Detroit, quick access to Toronto airport, Brantford casino 'round the corner, University of Western Ontario 1st Battlion Skank Corp, the Ceeps, golf courses, the restaurants, etc. |

Re: Brantford charity casino (canadian players)
I think that's Avril Lavigne in Gamblor 99's avatar window, so that makes his post better than mine. Everything he said is true. The larger limit games that were always happening a year ago have all but disappeared thanks to some ferocious beatings. They actually spread that 50-100 three or four days a week for a while, right at the front centre table. Oops. "What do you mean you're all out of money?" I saw a guy rake about 17 K off that felt one night and Brantford aint Vegas. Bye Bye.
Oh ya. I did not realize until I went out two weeks ago how big it is now. They went from 9 to 12 tables in the main room PLUS they have an expansion area at the back right side for the overflow crowd on weekends. You will have ZERO problems getting a good game. |
