wuestion was which one is EASier for a noob to learn.. therefore answer is by far... sngs.

It doesn't look like your friend is in the best mindset going into this and he might be in for some unpleasant surprises.

Oh, and I don't think that it really matters which one he does. I think that learning both at the lower stakes is around the same difficulty.

In terms of making a small amount of money fast, Ed's short-stack NL cash strategy is probably best. If he wants to learn to play poker, there's no better training ground than SnGs.
