It doesn't look like your friend is in the best mindset going into this and he might be in for some unpleasant surprises.
Oh, and I don't think that it really matters which one he does. I think that learning both at the lower stakes is around the same difficulty. |

In terms of making a small amount of money fast, Ed's short-stack NL cash strategy is probably best. If he wants to learn to play poker, there's no better training ground than SnGs.
