1. When SB caps he is saying I have at least a 3, fold the turn unimproved.

2. I have no idea, these sort of hands always seem to turn out bad for me. He either slow played the 7 or is a complete moron and is betting the flush. Maybe check the river and call a bet. They probably wont call with anything lower than a J.

3. Heads up you have a flush, 3bet the river. If he has a boat well thats bad luck but he will usually have much less.

4. Pretty standard.

I think I need to start check raising more, I've only checkraised 8 times/3000 hands.

I'm going to try to force myself to check raise more.

What kind of numbers are you getting for checkraise %?

Hi 2+2,

I played my first live no limit hold'em.

It was .5/1 Max $100 buyin. 5%rake.
I bought in for $100 most people bought in for about $40.

I limped into a pot with AA, Flop came 3,5,K rainbow. Player bet $15 everyone folded to me. I put him on TPTK. I bet what he had on the table ($16). He called. It turned out he had K5o for 2 pair. Damn.

I ended up $17.50 for about 3 hours play.

I noticed the dealer held the cards in a right hand mechanics grip but I didn't see or hear anything fishy ... still it was of some concern.

I've been playing on Pacific.
I've nurtured the $10 they gave me into a bankroll of about $26.
Played in 3 $2+.20 20 player SNG's. Came in 12th, 7th, and 2nd($10).
After winning $10 I proceeded to lose $15 in the 1/2 limit game. So I dropped way down in limits to the .05/.10 NL game. Won my way back up to $19.

I took all my money out of Party and am looking for a good bonus. Empire looks attractive but I'm looking for a good bonus. The best I've found so far is 20%. This is a far cry from the 50% I've gotten from Paradise, Party and Ultimate bet. I understand you need to clean out your registry to get a first time bonus from Empire if you've played Party? I was going to run Your Uninstaller on the computer before applying to get the Empire bonus. Is this correct procedure?

Thanks for all the help guys. You guys are a great mentor.

Derick

Hello 2+2,

I need your help again.

I have lost 30% of my bankroll in 3 days and I don’t understand what I did wrong.

Day 1:

I log onto Interpoker intending to get their bonus. My plan is to get the $90 for playing 300 hands of poker and get out of there.

I look at the tables and see 82% of the players are seeing the flop at a 10 players ½ GBP table.

I say, “Halleluiah! I’ve arrived at the promised land of milk, honey and fish”
A flood of saliva pools under my feet because I’ve been playing on Party where I’ve been seeing .5/1 games with VP$IP of 21%.-> 31%

I sit down at the table since it has 9/10 players in it. I buy in for my full 90$->50GBP

After 17 hands I lose a big hand after starting with AKo and pushing it too hard against 3 guys that have a VP$IP of 80%, 82% and 100%.

I’m down to 23.5 GBP

I see that Villain has 100% VP$IP, 70% PFR,

I get dealt QQ

Betting is capped preflop.

I catch a 3rd Q on the flop.

I cap the flop.

Board pairs a 6 on the turn

Turn and River is capped.

Villian Shows me Q6o Full house vs my 3 Queens.

I’m stunned. I feel like a total fool.

Now Villain has 100% VP$IP, 78% PFR and 403 BB/100 after 18 hands.

First time I've been wiped out at an account.

When playing maniacs, How careful do you need to be? I guess the pair on board should have sent warning bells off in my head but I just ignored it because I figured the guy is a total manic who see's 100% of the flops. Have you ever seen anyone win 53% of the pots over 18 hands?

The 1/2 GBP game with the biggest stakes I've ever played at. Was it ok to sit with only 25 big bets? When I was down to only 14 big bets should I have left?

Default Playing super tight while you learn to play better Postflop

I've been playing tighter than recommended by SSH because I think that the +EV I would gain from playing more hands is lost by the poor quality of my post flop play. So I think I'm better served by playing a bit tighter than SSH while I concentrate on learning to play post flop better.

So I've been playing group 3 hands in EP, group 4 hand in MP and group 5 hands in LP.

Although it's way too early to tell I've been winning lately.

4400 Hand Update.

Table selection can be more important than skill.

This week I've made a new rule.

When the VP$IP falls below 20% leave the table.

Sounds to me like you should have won with queens full versus sixes full...? Did he have quads?
