Default Any 2+2 Posters in Tahoe?

I'm gonna be in Tahoe next month staying at Caesars. Am wondering if there are any locals that post here or any regulars that will be there from the 7th to the 14th of October. Perhaps we can have a drink and play the NL game at Harveys.

I just returned from Tahoe last week. FWIW, I never saw anything other than 3/6 or 4/8 1/2 kill Hold 'Em played during the week; on the weekend, I believe there were a couple of stud games going as well.

WOW is the 3/6 soft on the weekend, and later at night during the week. Enjoy!

I lived in Tahoe in the early eighties. Back then I used to play 1-3 stud at the Crystal Bay Club on the North Shore of the lake. I believe Caesar’s is on the South Shore. I might be visiting out there next summer so if you have any poker recommendations when you get back I’d be interested to hear.

I'll be sure to post a report BBill.

Asking again if any posters live in the Tahoe area.

I played with DanS in the NL at Foxwoods last weekend--he's from the bay area, but said he was planning a trip to Tahoe about that time.

You should make the drive up to the Reno Hilton as they are having their Fall Pot of Gold tourney during your stay. Lots of side action plus two large MTT's a day. Check it out.

Thanks for the info on the tourney in Reno renodoc. I looked at the event schedule online and I'll probably enter one of the NL events. Am off in the morning.

Sorry Jimbo, just moved back to the East Coast to start law school. Was out in Tahoe for the last 2 years though. Are you gonna play the big Sunday NL game? It died down for awhile but I think they got it back going regularly before I left. (not that I ever played in it) 10/20 blinds, $2k min buyin, stacks of cash behind play too, which I thought was kind of weird for a NL game

No Sunday N/L game in Tahoe. In fact I found nothing larger than 4/8 so I passed on poker for this trip. The weather was fine as were the ladies. I discovered the Ponderosa is now closed, quite dissapointing. I took the gondola ride up to the mountaintop but passed on the $250 balloon ride. Plenty of sailboats on the lake although it did get quite windy.

The restaurant on the 19th floor of Harves is quite good.

In summary I recommend Vegas not Tahoe for poker but if you enjoy the outdoors Tahoe migh be your cup of tea.

tks for the report Jimbo. Seems like the poker surge hasn't hit Tahoe yet. I'm thinking of going to Reno for cards when I visit.

I'd pass on the 250 ballon ride too - damn thats expensive.
the view from the plane on the way into Reno airport is probably better than the view from the balloon anyway.
