PartyMine keeps crashing my computer

I posted on the PM forums but thought I may get a response here as well. Anyway, I open partymine, and everything seems fine. Have it mining 10 tables. Then, I will come back, in say 10 minutes, and one of two things is happening: Either I am knocked off the interenet, or my computer is totally crashed and nonresponsive. I have a new duel-core P4 with 1gig of RAM so I don't think I am underpowered. Thanks for any help.
