Default Possible new clues to Empire closings....

Forgive me for not having the time or patience to read the thousand posts on the topic. I've sorted through and get the general impression that the closed accounts are "whoring" related. If someone following this to the letter can provide a simple better synopsis, I would appreciate it.

Anyway, I was one of the first players to open an account with Empire using the Empire500 code, guess this was sometime last year. I have not played a single hand at Empire that was not for clearing some reload bonus. I've only played 2/4 and 3/6. I have accounts at every IGM skin and I have whored planet and starluck casinos.

My brother is my roomate, and Ive been teaching him to play over the last year or so. He has an Empire account, same last name, same address and plays from the same IP. He also only uses Empire during a reload, but only has played .5/1 and 1/2. He is a real person, NOT a gnome, (and he also has an account on most IGM skins so far) so there is no foul play here, we are both legitamite, honest players. (When I recently created an Intertops account, they even asked me if I knew him, and if he was related and that we lived together).

Anyhow, I would suspect that if any algorithm is going to flag an account for "abuse" or whoring, then two accounts from the same address, same surname, and play from the same IP would surely have to raise some flags, but to date both accounts are open and in good standing.

I have to think that there is something else to this, something dishonest the players from the closed accounts arent mentioning, but I havent been able read every single post in every thread so maybe not....

It's going to take longer than a day or two before they get to all the accounts they will eventually close. I'm sure they do a modest amount of follow up to ensure they are closing only those accounts that fit their criteria, whatever that may be.

So give it a week or two, odds are you and your bro's account will be closed also.

Unless they are going over every single account by hand and deciding by committe whether there is "wrong doing", this shouldn't take more then a few minutes by database query, and a few more to send out a batch of emails.

Even if they filtered some from a db search, and are going over the flagged accounts by hand, there would be some order to it. Most likely by "last name" or "date account created" as this would make sense from a db structure.

My last name begins with an "M" and the account was created about a year ago. If the closed accounts are all in the last name randge A-E etc, I would start to worry, but if "Zee" has already had his account closed, I dont think there will be a problem.... So if someone else wants to add some data, maybe a pattern will emerge....

Why do you think you have to go to a different computer and use a different email to start an account with empire after you already have one with party?
