does MUBS strike again? KK hand
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls. Flop: (8.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) BB checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, BB folds. Turn: (5.75 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, CO calls. River: (8.75 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, CO folds, Hero ???. Final Pot: 10.75 BB the card appeared to improve my hand, but the guy was clearly on a draw. i was thinking of betting, but the idea of folding to a raise was too much, so i decided to save a bet, as i was fairly certain he'd bet into me. |

If he was on a draw from the flop, it was a backdoor. I bet/call that river.

Re: does MUBS strike again? KK hand
No, he is betting the river because he has two cards and is going "Bluffer showing weakness lolololol time to steal the pot from such a shitty player." Maybe he has two pair. Maybe he has a pair. Maybe he has a shitty ace was afraid was no g00t until he slowed down.
You really need to bet this river. Yes, you are calling a raise. You can probably fold if it comes back 3-bet, though. So you are calling this bet, and launching cute critters into orbit. -K |

Re: does MUBS strike again? KK hand
Not necesarrily -- there are 2 draws that are completed there. Regardless, I bet call too. But if it were HU, I might just check-call becasue I don't think we have 50% of the pot here. Not gonna fold, tho.

Re: does MUBS strike again? KK hand
i was obviously worried about JT, QJ, KJ, or even AJ from a weaker player. not necessarily two hearts...

Other than a low pair (which I doubt the opponent will bet usually), Hero loses to all of the hands you mention. And I don't see the resona for betting, although I still agree that's the correct action. Why exactly are you betting? |

Right, and I think his range is heavily biased towards Q-something. Maybe even Q9s.

Last time I checked a set of kings beats any pair or two pair. Hero is only behind to AA (wtf), Jx, and two random hearts. I am betting here because there are an assload of worse hands that will call a bet, but may check the river through due to the four-straight. -K |
