You're not an idiot for calling it but I don't think you're good here most of the time. Anyone with two diamonds, an 8 or a king beats you. Players like to play kings. It's rare to see someone cap with less than two pair here, and even two pair beats you.

I say you should have folded after the MP2 raise instead of calling two cold. I think you could have saved those 4 river big bets.

Why did you bet the turn after not capping the flop? This seems inconsistent.

I probably should've capped the flop and then bet out on the turn no?

Yeah.

I fold to Mp2's river raise though. No one like that would raise with less than two pair(which beats you).
