Default Pot Control- C/Call Lead the turn...but for how much?

i am working on this move but i am not sure what percent of the pot is enough to accomplish my goal of basicaly seeing if im best without letting the pot size get out of control.

suggestions? Half, 3/4, pot?

This is in regards to the instance where I raise with AJs in MP only to be RRd PF by LP player. Flop comes J54 or something of the like. Where i may be allowing a missed or lesser hand to make a Cbet where he would have folded had i bet out and also preventing myself from getting tied up in a large pot with a tough decision, if i CR the flop. actually this last part i am not as sure of.

but anyone familiar with this basic idea, what would be an ideal turn bet? or is it player/read dependent
