Default Boxing betting rules, F Duane Ford!!!

I bet/lost a substantial amount of money on Hopkins this past weekend in LV.

It hurt but that is gambling, but then upon finding out about Duane Ford's controversial scoring of the 12th round, what would have been an accepted consequence really started to piss me off.

But a friend told me that it wouldn't have mattered anyway, because if the bout was scored a draw, I still would have lost.

Is this true, specifically in the state of Nevada, that if indeed Duane Ford scored the 12th correctly and the bout was ruled a draw, Hopkins and Taylor bettors would have lost?

I don't know that much about betting on boxing, but I assume, if there were 3 lines and 1 one of those lines was choosing a draw, then yes, a draw would have been a loss. I know in soccer it is like that, but I don't know if in boxing that is an option (not as a prop bet, but actually built into the line).

If you bet on Hopkins and its ruled a draw, you lose your $. Either way, once the sportsbook pays out I cannot see how they could go back and make any changes. After the Ruiz/Toney fight there were questions about Toney failing a steriods test. Lots of Ruiz bettors were made but what could the sportsbook do after it had already paid Toney bettors? How could you bet on Hopkins by the way? Have you not been reading our predictions here on this forum? Stay tuned and pay close attention to Tuds and myself when we discuss fights. I bet the over and made a small fortune on this fight. Listen to us guys who eat/sleep/etc boxing, and you will make a pile.

Default Possible Correction....It does depend on your sportsbook

After further review of your question, the right answer is that it depends on how you placed your bet. If the draw was an option when you made your bet you will lose your money. If not, the wager should be returned and the bet is no actioned..
