Short Handed VS Back of the Full Table
They say that you should play a full table game like a SH game if its folded around to you in late middle or late position. But is this really the case? The blinds eating your money away isnt nearly as pressing an issue at full games as it is in shorthanded games.

Ed Miller had a magazine article talking about this, it's roughly the same. you don't get 'eaten away by the blinds' because the blinds have equity, how much equity will depend on how much people are stealing, was the basic gist of his article.

There's also some theory that since a bunch of people have folded, we assume they had trash hands, making it more likely that the people around back have good hands.

Saying that the blinds are not eating you up as much in a full game, so you don't have to play as loose around back is flawed. You make those plays in shorthanded games because they're profitable, and not because you're worried about getting blinded to death. [/ QUOTE ]This is a good general guideline and it works both ways (play shorthanded like you're at a full table and four people have folded to you). On the flip side, some people have a hard time adjusting and you can capitalize. For example, in a 6max game, you raise utg and someone might think "oh shits, he raised utg, i should fold this mediocre hand" or raising in MP at a full table they may think you have a better hand just because you're opening with half the table to act. It may be hard to recognize this in other people, but I'm sure money is being made because of this.
