Default Why the games are so good $11 party

I don't play 11s, but I was watching my friend tonight. I think I'll have nightmares for a week.

Blinds are 25 50.

7 handed.

"Hero" picks up ATo. (about 1600)

UTG calls (about 1300)

MP calls (about 300)

SB folds, no raise pf.

flop 346 rainbow.

"Hero" bets 250 (I told him to bet a lot less than that)

UTG calls, MP calls all in, pot 900.

turn 9, no reason to bet again, he should be ready to dump it.

"Hero" bets again, he still just can't believe he's not ahead of UTG, he bets 700.

UTG raises to 1000, Hero calls.

River blank.

UTG has 57s, and flopped a straight. MP has KK.

Hero is down to 300 and ranting about how rigged it is and how badly the 57s played.

Amazing.

Sorry, I won't force you to read it next time.

My bad.

Maybe your "friend" should copy/paste the HH so I can follow it better next time.

I wish he would have, but he never saves hand histories, he refuses to analyze his mistakes. Sorry about the sloppy hand history, but he just won't save them.

I know you are implying that "I" played that hand, but I never play that badly, and I haven't played that low in quite some time.

The whole point was how badly he butchered that hand to let that 57s see the flop without a raise, and then practically stack him off when he was OBVIOUSLY beaten.

I thought the hand was humorous except that it was my friend making the biggest mistakes, and not listening to me, and that part was painful.

PS, I don't think he would be real keen on me pasting his hand history here on 2 + 2 and making fun of it.

The point to me is that he had no business betting this hand at all on any round!!!!!

I can see a small probe bet on the flop (not overbetting the pot like he did), and then check folding if anyne calls him, but that's it.
