Default Stop n Go with KK

No read on BB. Is my Stop and Go action justified?

umm... that's not a stop and go

a stop and go is where you lead, your opponent raises, you call and then lead the next card.

it looks like this

Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
hero bets, villain raises, hero calls
Turn T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets, villain...

cap the flop and go from there. You're probably still ahead here, and if you aren't, your opponent should let you know on the turn.

That's not a stop & go, but I like the flop action. You're raising a non J/A turn right?
I guess you can flip a coin on the river since he has either AA or QQ.

Well the flop raise cowed me into passivity. I thought I was up against 2 pair or a set. I only woke up because of the river check.

I think I played this pretty weak. I should have capped the turn.

Cap the flop. Raise the turn, call a reraise. That's what i'd do.

I think raising the turn if your opponent leads is spewing. If he fires again, I would call down. He could be getting risky with QQ or AJ, but there is still a fair chance we're beat. If he checks to us on the turn, bet it.

Well ok -yeah - that's pretty weak. 3-bet PF w/ J8? He doesn't have 2-pair. I'd put him on AJ after the flop action.
I'd raise the flop as you did, call a 3-bet and pop any non-A/J turn since:
A) I also raise flops & call 3-bets when I'm on a draw.
B) Lots of people like to 3-bet the cheap street to "find out where they're at" and you give them a rude awakening when you nail their ass on 4th street.

There's nothing wrong with capping the flop though - you're ahead more often than not.
He had QQ?

Given the turn card and flop action, I'm definitely not raising after he 3-bet the flop. I might even check if checked to.
