Villain has a short stack - a limp reraise says to me "I HAVE A HUGE PP" - if he has AA I'm likely crushed - I like the odds if he has KK - he's a huge favourite if he has AK...

Re-raising an EP raise with AQ is just plain disgusting.

You like the odds if he has KK? Man, why don't you take AQs, and I take KK, and we'll deal 100 hands at $50 a pop. You realize you are only 32% to win this hand if he has KK of a different suit, 12% to win against AA, 34% against QQ, and 29% to win against AKs? Do you also realize that he most definitely has one of these? How could you even be thinking about a call here.

Look at the hand from Villain's perspective. He limped UTG and then the action went: minraise, 3-bet, cold call, and regardless of this he still put in a 4-bet with three live players behind him who have all shown strength. Furthermore, his 4-bet is small and doesn't even look like he's trying to take the pot down now or to at least narrow the field significantly. He's telling you he has AA or MAYBE KK. Clear fold.

LOL. Easiest fold ever. How can you even consider calling and how can you "like your odds" if he has KK.

edited to fix a glaring typo.

I'm new here, but I tend to agree.

What are the possibilities for a UTG raise?

You're ahead of: AJ, KQ (loose raises from UTG, to be sure) KJ, A/10s (If he's a *real* maniac)
You're slightly behind: JJ-22
You're in big trouble if he's got AK, QQ, KK, AA

Those aren't very good odds, especially if UTG is even remotely sane.

I don't think I'd even call the AQ on the first raise. That may be a -EV play, (I'm sure better players than I can tell me that), but I do know that re-raising is just a bad idea.

Myself, I'm finally starting to learn that AQ ain't that wonderful a hand. And it's been a slow, and expensive lesson.
