Yes, it is seriously annoying. I have closed Party in protest and won't play until tomorrow now. Of course, I'll still play....

I got one every minute for 5 minutes... and then whenever I clicked OK partypoker would close and reopen (but wouldn't connect to my tables.)

So I'm forced to close PP and open it up again- this is the beta software. Anyone else having this problem???

But these "pop-ups"....they are purely annoyance, an im getting alot of them. It pisses me off.
Can i turn them off?
Some say you are testing for bots with them, ok, whatever, but once in a while should be enough, not every 5 bloody minutes.

I had to vent.
Let me know if i have any options here.

Dear Kevin,

Thank you for contacting us.

If you are referring to the tournament pop-ups, they are designed to act as a reminder for players who have registered for tournaments.

They will include the date and time of the start of the tournament. All you are then required to do is login to the tournament lobby at the pre designated time and you will be taken to the tables.

If you are referring to the regular pop ups, we understand they are becoming an increasing annoyance. Advertisers use dynamic web page technologies such as JavaScript, Java, Active X and ASP technologies or Windows networking software to open new windows in the foreground or background. These windows may contain advertisements that you have not specifically requested, but they Pop-up as soon as you open certain websites you wish to browse.

If you have surfed through or you have accidentally visited one of our affiliate sites or any other sites that use this type of marketing to promote our site, you may face the problem with pop-ups. Please be assured that our site does not participate in this form of advertising or marketing.

If you have Microsoft Service Pack 2 installed on your computer, please follow the procedure below to turn off the annoying pop-ups.

1. Click 'Start', point to 'Settings', click 'Control
Panel', and then double-click 'Internet Options'.
2. Click the Privacy tab, and under 'Pop-up Blocker',
click on 'Block pop-ups'.
3. If you want to see pop-up windows from a specific
Web site, under 'Pop-up Blocker' click
on 'Settings' type the website address or URL in
the 'Address of Website to Allow' box, and
click 'Add'.
4. To temporarily allow a site to display pop-ups,
click the Information Bar when it notifies you
that a pop-up has been blocked. Then
click 'Temporarily Allow Pop-ups'.

You may wish to consider downloading a Popup Killer or Adware Remover software to disable the pop-ups. Please visit the link below for more information on the removal software:

http://www.lavasoft.com.

Please be aware that Pre Login and Post Login pop-up messages from our site however cannot be avoided.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!

Well then, why not direct them to nly those who have registered?

It would be one thing to have a pop-up announcing a big event that was going to start within a few minutes, but the pop-ups I've been seeing are for tournaments that are 4+ hours away.

I'm gonna write a script to auto close the [censored] things. I've had enough of them. I did this before for MultiPoker anyway.
