Default How to start 6-max?

I currently play $0.50/$1, mostly at Party, and am thinking about building my short-handed skills. Is it worthwhile to try $0.25/$0.50 or $0.50/$1 6-max at sites like PokerStars?

Can someone point me to a post/thread about suggested orders of moving up? Like was $1/2 6-max better to play before or after $1/2 full? Or was it just important before going to $2/$4?

Thanks!

-Tom

its always hard to tell which way is the best, but me i was playing full games untill 3/6. Untill that the games are very loose and you will not get in to many headsup and blinddefence situations. But after 3/6 i would recomend going to shorthanded to practice headsupsitations and similar. But before that i would not recomend 6max because i think that it is easyer to learn the basics in full games and it's less fluktrations
