Seriously, you want to leave SB with the initiative so he will autobet the flop and you can act last, either raising the entire field or drawing cheaply as circumstances dictate. Instead you set yourself up to be checkraised at SB's discretion in exchange for an immediate EV gain that is so small it may not exist.

Going last is good. Preserve the power of the button for when you need it.

As long as I can keep closing the action for one bet I'll keep taking cards. You have 14 outs plus a backdoor straight in a huge pot. It's true that you don't know if they are good, but you also don't know they aren't. You are being heavily compensated for the risks you are taking and that's what counts.

I have learnt more than I expected just on pre-flop that I am glad I posted this hand. Thanks to Stellawind and Toss in particular who have given me a greater understanding about putting yourself in a position of control by NOT getting overaggro with medium strength hands pre-flop.
