Gonna be making a trip up there with some buddys this week for their NLHE tourney. Either monday or wensday. $100 buyin with $40 Rebuy $60 addon. Do not plan on spending more than $200. Hopefully I can win $200 in the cash games first.

How is this tourney? I have heard the structure is horrible. Has anyone here won this tourney?? How much is first place usually worth?? How are the players??

Any info not already given in the poker wiki that would be helpful is much appreciated.

The room is horribly dirty, the tables are dirty, the chips are dirty, the players are dirty. You should find out the structure of the tournament before you decide to play because I'm pretty sure it is just a crap shoot.

The games are good though.

Have already tried the SEARCH function.
I've seen many threads discussing the casino, but none specifically discussing the Mon/Wens tourney they hold.

400 chips per buyin. Blinds start at 10-20, increase every 15 mins. All in fest starts 1.5-2 hours in. $200 is only enough to play if you don't go broke in the first hour. First place is usually in the $10-12 k range. Players are loose passive during the rebuy, tight passive later on. Just make sure you steal blinds every chance you get once you get deep.
