Yeah. It's the best poker book written to date. Small Stakes Hold'em by Ed Miller, et al. Buy it now.

Small Stakes Holdem by Ed Miller. Buy it, read it, misinterpret everything he says, lose some money, post hands on 2+2, repeat step 2. That's what I did at least. Then I started winning, although its really too soon to tell if thats just the good side of variance since I get like no time to play.

Steve

p.s. how did you even get to this forum if you don't know what sshe is? LOL

Be thankful UTG+1 didn't charge you more for his set. He should have 3bet that turn, and then you would have called down. That doesn't mean, however, that my advocating a river raise is -EV, either. I think that in general, you'll see a weaker two pair there often enough.

good post.

Somewhere, a little kitten died when you failed to raise preflop. Postflop was excellent, but I'm raising the river and calling a 3-bet.

Yeah I was fascinated with tournament play (read: too loose-aggressive for limit still) so I bought Harrington on Hold'em. I think I saw that the publishing company had a website, so I checked it out and it lead me to these forums.

That's funny, I bought SSHE and HoH at the same time on Amazon when I first got serious about learning the game.

First thing is raise preflop. The rest looks good.
