ITM Percentage
For people that keep track of their ITM. How many tournaments should be in my sample size? 20, 50, 100?

Re: ITM Percentage
how acurate ya want to be? In the 1200 $55's Ive played I have a 100 game block at 34%, and another at 43%. If you want more acuracy than withen 10% I'd say play lots.

Re: ITM Percentage
The reason that I ask is that over 55 tournaments my ITM is at 56%. Based on what I have read here that seemshigher than the average. I was thinking that I maybe I just had a real good month. That is why I am asking.
Also should I do anything special to take into account the short-handed tournaments? Specifically 5 people. |

Re: ITM Percentage
Yes, that is above sustainable, at say, party's 10 seat sngs. Also, unless you have a very strange setup, like, say, heads up.
The average good, or maximum sustainable rates will be different depending on the number of players, stack depth, etc. There is a formula for predicting your true itm, which gives a confidence interval, and i don't know it off the top of my head. it requires way more than 100 games to be even remotely close to sure though, rest assured. citanul |

Re: ITM Percentage
55 tournaments gives you almost completely insignificant statistical data. Try a few hundred for ITM and a few thousands for ROI.
You are definitely having a good run. In short-handed tournies I'd imagine just be more aggressive -- you have the best hand 1 out of 5 times rather than 1 out of 10. |
