I think this is close, but I don't think you're ever EVER getting raised here. So I bet it and hope for a call from AK.

I'm pretty sure that you are good here. I can't really see him having an overpair or even AJ in this spot. I would bet and hope that AK or AQ or something calls me.

AK? AQ? 99?

i bet mainly because it's my first hand at the table I don't have a read I don't know this guy from a hole in the wall and i have no idea what his standards are on anything, and since i'm getting freaky on my first hand at the table who knows what he'll look me up with, and he's given me no reason to suspect I'm behind.

further, if he's solid and playing way ahead/behind he's betting this river, if he's weak he's betting this river for fear of it getting checked through, he doesn't have AJ or I'd have heard about it by now (or he's being tricky and waiting to c/r the river and i'm about to hear about it, and can fold), which means that the only hand i really fear is some donk 3-betting preflop with KJs or QJs and although he could very well be that donk very few donks are crazy about preflop 3-betting, they're crazy elsewhere.

all this leads up to a pretty automatic river bet, in my eyes. and honestly, if it's wrong, i can't imagine it's by much.

Slightly off topic... but here is an interesting question... does anyone fold TT when they post behind the button when it is 2 bets back to them, and there is still the possibility of a cap from the origional raiser?

i would fold preflop usually, but lets not worry about that and instead concentrate on the post flop play. i bet the river and prolly lose to JT
