Default How do you play BJ switch efficiently

I tried playing BJ switch on some of the playtech casinos and found it very slow going. I can't imagine anyone being able to play it without adding the calculations on a calculator which slows you way down. (I'm talking about playing this game to clear bonuses.) I know there are many situations that are pretty simple but I find myself playing very slowly and eventually just switching back to regular bj which I know is more -EV but I figure the time I save makes up for it.

Yeah, that's what I was using. I just found it so slow to calculate all those switches. I guess there's really no way around it.

I think perhaps you didn't scroll down far enough, because there are no calcs required. There's a popup applet on that page in which you can input the cards and it tells you whether to switch or not.

Most of them used to.

A few months ago I made a post in the software forum asking if anyone was willing to make software that would read the cards and tell you whether or not to switch, but no one responded. The applet on WOO still needs you to manually input the cards, which is time consuming, although easier than looking through those charts.

I thought that you could still clear some of the stickies that way. Maybe not.

For stickies, the difference in HA between switch and regular BJ is small enough to hardly make a difference in EV. You're trying to multiply your deposit by a certain target amount or bust. It only makes a difference if you hit your target. And since regular BJ is faster, that also helps make up for the difference in EV by increasing the hourly rate.
