Default Rake in a live $1/$2 NL game?

My local casino occasionally spreads a $1/$2 NL game with a $100 capped buy in. I'm pretty confident that I could beat this game badly, but the table charge is $6(!!!) per 1/2 hour. This is the same as the $2/$5 game. No rake is taken out of the pots obviously. Am I right in thinking that this table charge is absurdly high and I should not play even if I could kill the game? I'm not 100% sure that this high of a rate is uncommon in casinos, so I wanted to ask.

If the buy in was 200 you could beat this game quite comfortably, despite the rake.

I'm not sure at a 50bb buy in though.

Edit: I'm a moran. It just depends on how bad the players are. I've played and won in games with higher rake, but that rake did break the game over time.
