If, after raising and getting reraised (or reraising myself) with AK and flopping a pair, barring exceptional circumstances I do not lay it down.

I also would have checked behind on this flop, to induce something from KK / QQ.

I think you'll see JJ some of the time as well, but not often will you be up against something that you can beat... there aren't even any draws that he could be semi-bluffing.

Lay it down on the turn.

I was thinking, "but AK does this as well!" Thing is, you split with AK.

I might have folded to the flop CR, cuz there's not enough profit in it to justify stacking off against what could be AA or JJ, just cuz he might be overaggro with KK or QQ.

It's hard to say, but calling and laying down on the turn is the worst thing you can do.

Before the flop, he is telling you; "I have AA-QQ or AK!"

After the flop, his min-raise says: "I'm not kidding, bud. I have AA or AK, and don't want to scare you away!"

There isn't a single turn card that's going to put you ahead of him if you're behind. You're A) ahead and the turn can potentially hurt you, B) will continue to split, or C) you're behind and get 2 pair to his set in the best(?) case.

Whatever your decision, do it after the flop raise, and stick with it (knowing all your $ could be going in). Whatever cards he has, the turn cannot help you. Calling and folding on the turn is simply throwing away money.

In the heat of the moment I'd probably call flop and call turn. After typing this out, and figuring the possibilities, I'd say I should be folding on the flop raise.

I said lay it down on the turn because you are being priced in to stack him with a running heart draw.
