Hey Riposte,
You played this hand fine. I'm guessing MP1 slowplayed his 9 until the river. Not a thing wrong with your play, but he really butchered his hand if I'm right.

Would anyone have check-raised the flop? I won't ususally bet into a field of opponents in such early position. Not necessarily b/c its the wrong play for this hand, but for future hands, where I might want opponents fearing a c/r. Does anybody agree with me, even if for a different reason?

Too much risk for a whiff. A c/r is a valuable tool, but only if it works.
