(LC) Shot-gone-bad...help my pain plz?

I just took my first shot at 25/50 and have never in my life run as bad over a 300 hand stretch: -80BB. (Yes, you'd think I must have been trying to lose. Life is weird.)

So I'm asking HUSH to tell me other sad stories about failed shots to help assauge my pain and restore my crushed psyche. Please?

I usually play 5/10 short but I decided to take a crack at 10/20 short today because the game looked good and one of my "buddies" was sitting. I satdown and proceded to get drilled for about -60BB in 500 hands or so. It seems like everytime I take a shot I get it in my ass too so I can feel your pain.

If this was some guy taking a shot at 3/6 and posting an 80BB downswing in a short period of time he would be uber-flamed.

Only you know if you played well, and you know that variance sucks.

That being said I took a shot at 20/40 the other day and lost about 1/8 of my bankroll.

I usually play 5/10, my first shot at 10/20 6-max i dumped $500 in 30 hands. My second shot i dumped $600 in 400 hands.

I hate myself.

My advice is to go get it back at 50/100. This will be much easier as you only need to win HALF as many BB's as you lost. Or maybe even 100/200...if you can't win 20 BB's in a session then you need some serious help.

I took a shot at 20/40 5 months ago and I lost my will to live over 100k hands.

lost 5k this weekend, some in 5/10 some in 10/20 and some to party's [censored] blackjack

I just played 433 hands mixed between 2/4 and 3/6 and lost 74BB. My went to showdown and won $ at showdown are both below 35%. These are my normal games and I have a positive expectation in them. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I usually play 30/60 short, but decided to take a shot at 50/100 yesterday on a table my 'buddy' was on. -60bb in 250 hands. I wanted to puke.

My advice is play your normal level and once you realise you are slowly making back the losses (and the losses were originally profits anyways), your psych will pick up.

I recently gave 10/20 a shot. Lost 95 BBs in 1k hands and decided I suck. Back to 3/6 and 5/10 for me.
