Default OMG Blackjack

party has added blackjack to the site, its not accessible for party skins, just party. This is really really really really bad for poker. There will be alot less fish steaming it all off in the higher buy in games, they will go to the blackjack tables where they have a better shot.

This sucks.

This is really, really bad for me. Only reason I don't play so much is the 150 miles that separate me and AC/Foxwoods.

Anyway, I'm up $25...

I understand the house edge at BJ to be about 1.4% if players make perfect decisions.

A lot of Party players are not only incapable of that, but the accessability of the blackjack table will probably cause some of them to blow off their rolls in one sitting. I don't think this will have too bad an effect on mid-limit players. Most break even, play the cards, rake beaters differentiate poker from other forms of gambling and will keep winning money from lower limits and losing it to other players when they try to move up.

the edge in bj depends on different rules...

double down or not?
dealer stand on soft 17?
what payout for bj?
etc etc

One rule they have is you only get one card when you split aces...is this normal? I don't recall this in casinos.
