Default Stupid odds question.

Say you have a gut draw. WHat are the odds you need to see the turn and fold unimproved? I mean you need 5.06:1 pot odds if you were going all in on the flop but that isn't the case in limit.

What is the magic number?

Simply put,
4/47 = 8.51% or 11.75-1 = 10.75:1.

There's no 'magic' number because there are too many factors like other outs, making your draw then losing, implied odds, etc.

Your math is right, but that is NOT the odds you need to see the turn. You have implied odds.

Suppose you have 56o on a J84r board. flop action to you. What pot odds do you need to call?

Implied odds depend on a lot of things on the turn. How many opponents are in the pot. How bad are they (or will they call down if you catch. Like most things in poker that is all situational.
But 10.75:1 is the odds you need if you asses that you can make twice the current pot on the later streets then you'd need 5.5:1 but there's no specific # to use every time since your implied odds are allways situational.
