Default KJs SB

Having a bad strech of cards and really starting to doubt myself. Just sat down, no reads. Tried to get him to fold by betting into him, but it didnt work. How would u have played this? Hands like these are losing me lots of money lately.

I think you can dump this one preflop. A few more callers and I'd gladly come along, but taking KJs OOP against an EP raiser is not my idea of a picnic. All the other streets are pretty spewy, too, in my opinion.

I would fold PF against an UTG+1 raise. Too many hands have KJ dominated, even if it's suited. I'd 3-bet it against a player who is more likely to steal in later position.

As a general comment which applies to your hand, I think too many people bet/bluff into PF raisers on the flop. It usually accomplishes squat unless you have something and more often than not you just get raised and have to call another SB. I'm not going to quibble with the semi-bluff bet on the turn, but time to give up on the river I think.

KJ doesn't have great showdown value UI.

Check/fold the river. Rest is fine/

I would have c/c 1 bet on the flop (getting just enough odds with the BDFD and gutshot) and c/f the turn if I do not improve. You did improve so I would c/c on the turn again and c/f river UI. I really don't like betting here as you are rarely ahead and will often be raised.

Preflop is a marginal call for me. It's costing you a half bet though and if BB comes along you're getting a look at a 6SB pot for only .50SB.

Flop you have an overcard, a gutshot and a BDFD. I think the bet is good to see what BB does and hopefully you get him to fold with cards which may hurt you.

Turn is a check/fold UI.
