Default JJ river decision

Villain is something like 55/22/2.5 over about 40 hands
The hands I've played with him comfirm these numbers: overaggro, bets when checked to, slowplaying big hands, etc.

Party Poker 5.00/10.00 Hold'em (6 handed) link

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, MP raises, CO folds, Button folds, Hero 3-bets, BB folds, UTG calls, MP caps, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (13.00 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP bets, Hero raises, UTG folds, MP calls.

Turn: (8.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

River: (10.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, Hero...

Final Pot: 11.50 BB.

you should probably bet/fold this river. If he has 88-TT, he will often take a free SD, and only bet with better hands. He will have TT-88 more than 9% of the time, so you don't want to check fold.

Against this type of opponent, I like check/calling the river. He is not folding any hand with a K/Q/A and if he has TT-88 you do not want to be bluff raised. Based on your read that he would bet when checked to, you would gain a bet when ahead anyways by check/calling. Is he capable of folding?

opponent is overagg, not crazy. A river bluff raise is highly inlikely. Villain is usually ahead here, and when he is behind he is rarely folding the river.

If he bets when checked to then I would start check-calling on the turn. I'm showing this down as cheaply as possible.

I made a superweak fold on the river. I thought I might idd be good here around 10% of the time, but my always at difficult decisions present weak side got the upper hand . I was naïve enough to think the A would have scared him from betting. He said he had 88 so I (probably) folded the best hand. Ur right with stating that I should have c/c'd the turn against this opponent
