Back when I coached Dixie Youth Baseball...
every year we'd have one kid who was your last round draft pick who had glasses like coke bottles and less than zero athletic ability. When that kid got his one hit of the year, I'd always turn to my assistant and say, "There's proof there is a god because the only way that kid was going to get a hit is if god put it on his bat!"

On a more serious note... I've seen plenty of things in my 20+ years as a physician that I can not explain by science or medicine. I've seen people live who I was sure were going to die.

I'll first assume that you're the best doctor in the world, since I don't want it to seem like I'm attacking your personal credentials.

The state of medical technology/knowledge/whatever at this point in time is ridiculously elementary. We're not that far removed from barbers performing surgery.

It may seem that we've come a long way since then, and in a lot of ways we have, but on an absolute scale we have yet to come anywhere near mastering what's going on in our bodies.

Since I'm retiring from religious discussion, I'll leave it at that.
