Betting Log Question

After, making what I now recognize as an ill-conceived bet on the 2nd Half under last night, I think I'm going to start keeping a log of each bet I make with a pre and post bet analysis of what I thought when I made the bet, and (when I lose) what factors I missed that can help me not make the same mistake again.

Does anyone keep a journal of sorts like this, and if so is it of any value?
