Default Pocket 9\'s 6max

Does anyone like this line? his bet into me on the turn really confused me and I was really debating folding/calling.

Party Poker Pot-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Hero ($605.6)
Button ($878.4)

BB ($715.05)
UTG ($194)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $3.
2 folds, Hero raises to $20, Button calls $20, SB (poster) calls $17, BB calls $14.

SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $55, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls $55.

Turn: ($190) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Reads?

He could've been semi-bluffing the diamond draw or he could have a 6.

Hard to say...

Pretty solid player, however the last pot we played he bluffed me out of with some big betting when I had top pair top kicker.

If you're going to call a river bet that big, I think I push the turn.

I agree here. I dont think you can call the turn with the intention of simply calling any non 9 river. I'm folding this turn more often than not. His large bluff on you shortly before aside, I always find it hard to put that much money in with a weaker overpair on a paired board. But hey maybe that's just me and I'm a little weak/tight.

why didn't he put you all-in on the river? it looks like he wants a call. many players check-raise the turn with a 6, but not all. i think you are probably beat here, as a bluff likely sticks in that extra 100 or so on the river to make your call harder. hope it worked out.

Im not sure why he didnt put me all-in, I had a little over 300 at that point and he bet 250 as a "value bet". But if im going to call 250 i'll be calling 300 obviously. The whole hand had me confused for a while. At showdown he had 89o for top pair and i took it down, but i still feel like I shouldn't of been in the pot the way he was betting the turn/river.
