Default I lose sooo much at blackjack versus poker

I'm pretty good at poker and play mostly 30/60 and up. So dropping 1k isn't a big deal really.

I used to play BJ a ton before I go into poker and losing over $100 was a lot to me.

I play mostly the $5-$199 tables. Rarely I'll play two hands at the same time if I'm one on one.

Now a days I usually go with $800-$1000 but the thing is, I don't take BJ seriously anymore and usually lose. This is annoying to lose $1000s to BJ when I'm not that great at it.

I feel I gotta bet big with usually betting $10-$20 a hand then table max when I'm feeling good about the shoe.

What can I do to still have fun, really only gamble $100-$200 a trip, and maybe win?

If there was a way to play -EV casino games for fun without losing, the casinos would go out of business.

This works better on Pai Gow Poker. Less hands/hr and getting comped drinks is great. Get sloshed, spend 50 bucks, hit on the waitresses and random chicks walking by and almost get booted out! Now that is some fun!

Read Comp City by Max Rubin, and learn how to earn more in comps than you lose per hour playing blackjack.

Accept the fact that you are going to lose roughly 1% of your total blackjack action. (I'm assuming less than perfect basic strategy + liberal dealer/drink tipping)

So if you only want to lose $100 a session on average, then you can only wager $10,000 per session.

The alternative is to learn to card count. It shouldn't be too hard to learn to count well enough to break even. Counting well enough to actually make money is a bit more difficult.

I did study counting. I think I play near perfect basic strategy.

The problem is, is I don't stick to the betting amount that the count stands because I don't care to wait that long or stick it out when it's not good. I also don't care about the small bets, but the big ones can add up.

Also about the comp stuff, I already get comped pretty much anything I want, gotta ask for the limo drive from my place to theirs still, and I don't find the comps all that amusing.

I don't quite make sense of what you're saying here, but if you're not paying enough attention, and not sticking to a betting structure with a count system, you just throwing away bets.

If you want to have fun, pick an amount you're comfortable losing, flat bet and hope to get lucky.

Was the goal of this post to make you look really, really stupid?

Because I don't understand your reason for posting this foolishness otherwise.
